Will it strip my skin?
Foam isn’t what strips skin; the cleansing agent is. This one uses gentle cleansers made from amino acids instead of sulfates, with glycerin and a skin-like lipid in the same bottle. It rinses clean without the tight feeling a harsh foam leaves behind.
Is it for oily, dry or sensitive skin?
All three can use it daily. Oily skin gets a proper clean without over-drying; dry and sensitive skin get a foam with no fragrance, no essential oils and no sulfates. If your skin is very reactive, patch-test first. It won’t change how much oil you make, and we don’t claim it does.
How do I use it?
Wet your face, press out a pea to an almond of product, work it into a dense foam in your palms, massage for 30 seconds, rinse with warm water. Morning and night, or once a day if you prefer. Pat dry with a fresh towel.
Does it remove makeup and sunscreen?
Light makeup and most sunscreens, yes. For heavy or waterproof makeup, use an oil or balm cleanser first and this as the second cleanse.
What does green tea actually do in a cleanser?
Green tea is rich in EGCG, a well-studied antioxidant. In a rinse-off product it’s on your skin for under a minute, so treat it as a gentle, antioxidant-rich base rather than a treatment. The lasting benefit of this bottle is how it cleans, not what it leaves behind.

Dense pale-green cleansing foam, close up

Up close

dense, fine foam. no squeak.

Gentle amino-acid cleansers make a cushiony foam that lifts oil and sunscreen without pulling water out of the skin.

Why this foam

gentle is a formula, not a feeling.

Gentle cleansers

Made from amino acids, the building blocks of protein. They wash without the tight feeling sulfates leave behind.

Real green tea

Leaf extract and matcha powder, full of antioxidants. It is what makes the foam green.

Moisture in the wash

Glycerin and hyaluronic acid pull water toward your skin, so it feels soft after rinsing.

Nothing for smell

No fragrance, no essential oils, no alcohol, no colourants.

How it works

a cleanser has one job: leave the barrier alone.

Skin sits at a mildly acidic pH, and so does this foam (the maker states it is mildly acidic). Harsh foams push skin the other way and strip its oils; the tight feeling afterwards is the barrier complaining.

Working the foam between the hands over a sink

The washing is done by cleansers made from amino acids, the building blocks of protein. They grab oil and dirt and let water carry it away, but they are much gentler on skin than the sulfates in a typical foaming wash. That is why the foam feels soft and the rinse feels clean, not squeaky.

Green tea leaf extract and matcha powder. Green tea is full of antioxidants, the compounds that help protect skin from everyday wear. A cleanser is on your face for under a minute, so we don’t promise skin changes from it; think of it as a soothing, antioxidant-rich base for the foam, with calming centella and allantoin alongside.

The cleanser tube beside a pile of foam

Wet face, one press, thirty seconds, rinse.

First washClean, soft, no tightness. That is the whole test, and you can run it tonight.
Week 1Skin that isn’t stripped twice a day usually feels more comfortable through the day. You may notice less of the tight-then-shiny cycle.
OngoingIt stays a cleanser. The serum and the balm do the long-game work; this makes sure they go onto clean, calm skin.
What it won’t do. It won’t treat acne, shrink pores or change how much oil you make. It cleans gently and rinses clean; the rest of the routine does the rest. Sources: J Am Acad Dermatol on cleanser pH and the skin barrier; Int J Cosmetic Science (2021) on the role of pH in skin cleansing.

What’s in it

thirty-one ingredients. three that matter.

The three doing the real work, in plain words. The full list is underneath.

The star

Green tea (matcha)

The leaf this cleanser is named after, in the foam twice: as an extract and as real matcha powder. Green tea is full of antioxidants, which help protect skin from everyday wear, and it gives the foam its soft green colour.

Maker states 10,000 ppm green tea + 2,550 ppm leaf extract

The cleaners

Gentle cleansers made from amino acids

These are what actually wash your face. They come from the building blocks of protein, so they lift off oil, dirt and sunscreen without the tight, squeaky feeling a harsh foam leaves behind.

3rd and 4th on the list

The moisture keeper

Glycerin (with hyaluronic acid)

A moisture magnet. It pulls water toward your skin while you wash, so your face feels soft instead of dry when you rinse. Hyaluronic acid does the same job further down the list.

2nd on the list, right after water

How to use

wet. foam. rinse.

The cleanser tube
1 · Wet

Warm water, not hot.

Hot water strips; warm loosens. Wet the face first so the foam spreads instead of drags.

Foaming the cleanser in the hands
2 · Foam

A pea to an almond, worked in your palms.

Dense foam spreads without friction. Thirty seconds of light circles is plenty.

Patting the face dry
3 · Rinse

Rinse, then pat dry.

With a fresh towel, smooth side. Serum goes on while skin is still slightly damp.

Is it for you

reach for it if. skip it if.

Reach for it if

  • You want a foam that doesn’t leave skin tight
  • Your skin is sensitive and fragrance is a problem
  • You double-cleanse and need a gentle second step
  • You wear light makeup or sunscreen daily

Skip it if

  • You need heavy or waterproof makeup off in one step (use an oil cleanser first)
  • You want an exfoliating or acid cleanser (this has no acids)
  • You’re looking for an acne treatment (this is a cleanser)

Patch-test any new product if your skin is reactive.

Foam vs foam

how it compares.

Categories, not brands. Sulfate foams vary; the tight feeling after washing is the tell.

FAQ

questions, answered.

Can I use it morning and night?

Yes. Twice a day is the standard rhythm; once a day is fine if your skin runs dry. It’s mild enough for either.

Will it help with acne or oil?

It won’t treat acne and it won’t change how much oil your skin makes; the studies on green tea and oil used leave-on creams, not a wash you rinse off in a minute. What it does is clean without stripping, which is the right starting point for breakout-prone skin.

Is it safe around the eyes?

Keep it off the eyes themselves. It’s a face wash, not an eye-makeup remover; use a remover on the lash line first.

Does it foam without a device?

Yes. Wet palms and a few seconds of rubbing give a dense foam. A foaming net makes it denser still.

How long does a tube last?

120 ml. Twice a day with a pea to an almond of product, roughly two months.

Is there fragrance or alcohol in it?

No fragrance, no essential oils, no alcohol. The faint green colour is the green tea powder.

Where is it made?

In South Korea, by B.LAB. We buy it finished and put our name on the listing, and we say that rather than pretend to a lab of our own.
